This otherworldly experience is a recent creation of NCDA’s Nelson Chow, the design force behind speakeasies Foxglove, Please Don’t Tell and Dr Fern’s Gin Parlour. Visitors enter via a secret passage inside BaseHall 2 and proceed through an acoustic chamber, which dampens noise from the bustling food hall. A surreal yet serene realm awaits at the main bar, with guests greeted by repetitive rib-like structures reminiscent of underground cisterns. The mirrored ceiling creates an illusion of soaring height, leading the eye to a far-end bar whose skylight bathes it in the soft glow of the setting sun. Envisaged by industry veterans Ezra Star, Michael Larkin and Beckaly Franks, the whole futuristic, sci-fi experience is completed by a cocktail and aged spirit-focused drinks programme overseen by bar manager J Frank, with pairing bar snacks provided by ARTIFACT KAYA, the izakaya counter outside.
