Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre – better known as JCCAC – is an awardwinning architectural conversion and the first factory turned vertical artist village and arts centre in Hong Kong. Remnants of Hong Kong’s cottage industry, which powered its industrial past, can still be seen in its corridors and public spaces. It is where 140 artists and organisations have set up studios to pursue assorted, mainly visual arts, practices - including painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass art, printmaking and photography. While the teahouse, café and some galleries open daily, visitors may want to browse JCCAC’s activity programme before paying a visit – apart from an array of changing exhibitions, guided tours and workshops, the hugely popular weekend craft fairs held several times a year should not be missed!
