In 2013, the former yacht club clubhouse – a red-brick Grade II historic building tucked away in a quiet pocket of busy North Point – was given a new lease of life and renamed as Oi!, an art oasis in the city. With a mission to promote public engagement through art and the nurturing of young artists, the space is known for its crossdisciplinary and experimental projects that often bridge art and community. A new extension was opened to the public in 2022, providing more than 3,000m² of open space for large-scale, outdoor installations and a two-storey building for exhibitions and multipurpose functions.
