In the Jeju dialect of South Korea, ‘ta’ means island and ‘mora’ means gathering; and this three-storey waterside café has become an online/ offline sensation for picturesque rendezvous, thanks to a café atmosphere reminiscent of Jeju Island’s. Its minimalist interior is the work of Hong Kong- and Paris-based Korean company PLKA Studio, which used elements such as an arched wall and extensive glazing to bring the café’s verdant surroundings close. Though predominantly concrete, the decor is elevated by eccentric brick, wood, leather and metallic details. Order Jeju’s signature matcha latte and ade and enjoy some time surrounded by nature … with an irresistible croissant-waffle ‘croffle’.
