This Christmas, Harbour Citycollaborates again with renowned Japanese Miniature Photographer and MitateArtist, Tatsuya Tanaka, with his first-ever Christmas-themed art project,including "The Big Little Christmas" large-scaledoutdoor installation and"Countdown to Mini-mas" art exhibitionfrom 16 November 2024 to1 January 2025.
“The Big Little Christmas” outdoor installation features a28-meter-long Santa Claus working desk at the Ocean Terminal Forecourt. 5 festive miniature sets of Tanaka are enlarged onthe desk, including the candy cane sleigh, the impressive 5-meter-highcabin made with stacked books and the 10-meter-tall Christmas tree transformedby the Santa Claus hat. A 8-meter-high wooden Christmas Calendaralso stands at the Staircase to give a hidden surprise to everyone. Visitors can pose alongside larger-than-lifeinstallations and become one of the tiny human figures in Tanaka’s imaginativeworld.
The "Countdown to Mini-mas" Art Exhibition unveils Tanaka’snew Christmas artworks at Gallery by theHarbour, allowing everyone to experience his work up close — not justthrough pictures. 25 new festive miniature artworks await to be joyfullyunfolded just like an advent calendar; each coming with a delightfulsurprise.
