Nana Chan is widely known for creating several of Hong Kong’s most beloved tea cafés – and her latest venture may be the most ambitious. Plantation, a relaxing tea haven, features a beautiful 10-seat stone counter, where guests can savour liquid sensations from a seasonal tea-tasting menu guided by tea masters, brewed using different techniques and paired with delicate snacks, all designed to reveal the varied personalities of a tea type. At night the space turns into a bar where tea cocktails, created by award-winning mixologist Antonio Lai, are served. All Plantation’s teas, sold by the pot or in retail packs, come from small family farms around Asia where teas are still almost entirely handmade and infused with generations of wisdom.
